Nurse Tech - Float Pool - PRN
PRN, Per Diem status position, Float pool for multiple departments at NMC. Opportunities to float to our sister facility OVH.
This PRN "per diem" status position is scheduled for 12 hour shifts, typically 1 or more shifts per week, with additional hours and shifts possible as needed by the departments .
The Nurse Tech in the Float Pool department assists nursing service personnel with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients in various different departments of the hospital.
Provides basic nursing care to patients under direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
Assists nursing service personnel with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.
Assists with personal hygiene, takes vital signs and changes bed linens. May serve and collect food trays, provide for between-meal nourishment. Cleans, sterilizes, stores and prepares other supplies. Works under immediate supervision.
Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Post High School vocational / specialized training preferred.
One (1) year experience in hospital or nursing home preferred.
Preferred candidate will have prior experience working in a hospital setting.
Required: "BLS certification" American Heart Association
