5k Sign on Bonus for eligible Sterile Processing Techs!!

This is Full Time Position working at Northwest Medical Center

Summary:

  • Performs all aspects of the sterilization process including decontamination, assembly, packaging and the biological and chemical monitoring of the sterilizers. Acts as a resource to the operating room staff.
  • Responsible for requisitioning all autoclaving supplies, instruments and implantable devices used in the daily operation of the department.
  • Sterilizes, cleans, wraps, stores and distributes supplies, instruments, and equipment used in patient care. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job

 

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education:

Required: High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience and 1 year experience as  Sterile Processing Tech
Preferred: Sterile Processing Tech certification course

Experience:

Preferred: Previous experience with surgical instrumentation/equipment processing and terminology.

Skills:

Ability to follow written / oral instructions and established procedures, and to give / receive oral and written communication. Ability to learn and retain information. Basic computer skills. Ability to learn Sterile Processing computer systems.

Licenses/Certifications:

None required.
