RN-Radiology - FT - Days
Seeking a RN - Radiology - FT - Day Shift- to join our team at Northwest Medical Center. Our focus is on high quality patient care through patient assessment, critical thinking skills, time management and teamwork.
Summary: Either directly or indirectly reporting to a nursing supervisor, plans, directs, participates in and evaluates patient care. Collaborates with other disciplines to provide optimal care. Provides competent, safe and timely patient care utilizing the nursing process. Accurately and legibly documents all assessments, interventions and plan of care according to policies and procedures. Prepares for the interventional procedures by reviewing the order, lab results and other pertinent patient information to ensure proper patient preparation. Communicates abnormal or critical results to the appropriate physician. Ensures safety in medication management and administration including physiologic monitoring of the patient during procedures requiring moderate sedation. Acts as a resource for radiologists and technical staff concerning pain control medications, drug interactions and side effects, anticoagulants, and other medications as appropriate.
