The Mother Baby RNin the Northwest Medical Center, Women's Center either directly or indirectlyreporting to a nursing supervisor, plans, directs, participates in andevaluates patient care.  Collaborateswith other disciplines to provide optimalcare.                                                                

Evaluates assignedpatients and plans, implements and documents nursing care. Assists physiciansduring examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests andadministers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teachingpatients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-careskills. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude isexpected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.



ADN or Diploma inNursing Program,  BSN preferred


Clinical experiencein area of expertise preferred.


Current Arizona RNlicense or compact state license

BLS certificationcard (CPR)- American Heart Association

NRP for Women'sCenter

(All new graduatenurses or nurses new to specialty area have 180 days in which to obtain ACLS,PALS or NRP, as required by unit)."
