The Registered Nursein the Labor and Delivery department at Northwest Medical Center, Women'sCenter, evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursingcare.

The RN assistsphysicians during examinations and procedures, performs various patient testsand administers medications within the scope of practice of the registerednurse. The RN relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsand performs a variety of tasks. Collaborates with other disciplines to provideoptimal care. Either directly or indirectly reporting to a nursing supervisor,plans, directs, participates in and evaluates patient care.



Qualifications

Qualifications:
Education:               

ADN or Diploma inNursing Program,  BSN preferred

Experience:               

Clinical experiencein area of expertise preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:       
Required:

Current Arizona RNlicense or compact state license

BLS certificationcard (CPR)- American Heart Association

NRP for Women'sCenter

(All new graduatenurses or nurses new to specialty area have 180 days in which to obtain ACLS,PALS or NRP, as required by unit)."
