The Radiologist - Ultrasound position is a  full-time, nights, working in the radiology department at Northwest Medical Center. 

$7,500.00 Sign on Bonus.

Summary: Performs ultrasonic diagnostic testsfor patients as ordered.                             


Essential Functions:

1. Performs allultrasound techniques and examinations, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans,obstetric and gynecology procedures. Identifies predictable problems and plans and provides patient care,based on the age of the patientserved.                                

2. Positionspatients and operates equipment to produce the most reliable and informationaldata. Performs tests with portable equipment in patient room when necessary.May transfer patients asrequired.                                

3. Assists physicianin such procedures as needle biopsies, amniocentesis, renal biopsies, etc.  Scans patient, marks patient's body,determines angle for puncture, assists as necessary, maintains steriletechnique.                                


Education: High School or equivalent.  AMAapproved program in ultrasound technologyrequired.                                

Experience:  2-4 years experiencepreferred.                                


Licenses/Certifications:  American Registry of Diagnostic MedicalSonographers (ARDMS) Licensure preferred OR registry eligible. ARDMS registeredwith Breast Ultrasound certification is required for Women's Center Imaging.  BLS (American Heart Association)required.
