Job Description

The Pre-Admissions Rep position is a part-time , days. Monday through Friday. Working at the Center for Pain Management located at 4745 East Camp Lowell Drive - Tucson, Arizona 85712

Summary: Responsible for the pre-admission of all scheduled patient procedures done by Centralized Scheduling department. Responsible for professional behaviors in all interactions with Physicians, outside office staff and coworkers.
Types correspondence and reports, photocopies information, files information, and answers the telephone, takes messages, and directs calls. Interacts with and educates others about the services of the department, including physicians, nursing staff, and office staff. Maintains databases, records and logs. Updates patient records and timely reporting of laboratory and other diagnostic results. Communicates and interfaces with hospital personnel, volunteers, patients, medical staff, and family members to ensure high-quality patient care and confidentiality of patient records and information. Responsible for double checking the surgery schedule daily for accuracy and data entry errors. Serves as a back-up resource for registration. Organizes paperwork into patient chart and accurately generates consent forms off physician order, including same-day add ons. Reviews faxed paperwork for physician order and up-to-date history and physical for each patient and communicates any deficiencies. Performs pre-op phone calls on appropriate patients prior to surgery date, obtaining necessary information and providing instructions.
