Position is PRN , working 6-8 hour shifts , 1-2 shifts weekly as needed

The Nursing Tech in the Outpatient Wound Care Clinic provides basic nursing care to Wound care patients under direct supervision of a licensed nurse.


The Nurse Tech provides personal care assistance to patients including procedures including sterile dressings, blood glucose testing, collection of specimens and basic hygiene assistance . 

Prepares patients for scheduled procedures to assist in patient assessment. Monitors clinical condition of patients and reports changes to appropriate personnel. Charts and documents observations according to hospital policy and procedure. Handles and transports patients, specimens, blood products, and medications in a safe and efficient manner.

The Nurse Tech also maintains adequate floor stock as needed for unit/departmental operations. Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients/families in accordance with hospital standards. Performs other job duties relevant to the position as assigned.        


Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements        


High School Diploma or equivalent required. 

Post High School vocational / specialized training preferred.                                                


One (1) year experience in hospital or nursing home preferred.                        

Preferred candidate will have prior experience working in a hospital setting.                    


Required: "BLS certification"  American Heart Association
