$10,000 Sign On Bonus for eligible candidates!

This is a full time night shift position for MLS / MLT at Northwest Medical Center.

Will rotate through all departments including blood bank, chemistry and hematology.

 

Summary:

Performs moderate and high complexity tests in the clinical laboratory. Ensures that specimens are appropriate for test methodologies. Documents all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations, and maintenance performed. Assist customers with information regarding laboratory testing in a pleasant and professional manner.

 

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education:

Required: Associate of Science degree or experience, education or other parameters that meet CLIA Federal Register requirement.
Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree; qualified as MT/MLS throught a recognized certification agency such as ASCP or AMT with experience and examination.

Experience:

Preferred: 1 year experience in clinical laboratory environment

Skills:

Ability to read, communicate, and document effectively through oral, written, or electronic means. Excellent skills in customer relations. Demonstrates the constant ability to prioritize and respond promptly to a changing workload. Ability to respond to multiple situations and questions that require sound judgments and action for quality patient care.

Licenses/Certifications:

Required: None
Preferred: American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or American Medical Technologists (AMT), or American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB).
