Endoscopy Lab Technician - Northwest Tucson Surgery Center - FT - Days
The Endoscopy Lab Tech position - No Nights, No Call, No Holidays! Be part of an outstanding team in a fast-paced outpatient surgical center environment. Candidates with previous GI/Endoscopy experience preferred.
PCT, MA or CNA certification preferred
Assist in the nursing care of the endoscopic patient by performing duties and related activities, within scope of practice, for endoscopic procedures, under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. Additionally, performs all aspects of scope cleaning and high level disinfection. Responsible for the chemical monitoring of the Automated Endoscope Reprocessor (AER). Functions as part of the procedural team, anticipating needs of physician, and working within scope of practice during endoscopic procedures. Assists with positioning of patients during procedure. Exhibits thorough understanding of endoscopes and their workings. Ability to process and troubleshoot endoscope problems.
