Northwest Medical Center is a 300-bed hospital offering a full range of healthcare services including emergency services, accredited chest pain and heart failure programs, neurology and neurosurgery, outpatient imaging, a nationally accredited surgical weight loss program, total joint program, spine program and stroke center (recognized with Gold Seal designations by The Joint Commission), robotic surgery, GI lab, a free-standing women’s center, inpatient rehabilitation facility, wound care center, four urgent care facilities, and three ambulatory surgery centers. The Clinical NurseLeader in the Labor & Delivery Unit at the Women's Center Responsible forcompliance with overall nursing practice standards of the specialty area;reports to the Department Director. 

Responsible forcompliance with standards during assigned shift; reports to House Supervisor orDepartment Director.  Uses establishedprinciples of delegation and supervision to direct the activities of alllicensed and non-licensed care givers and support staff in the delivery ofpatient care during their assigned shift 

Uses independentjudgment to ensure optimal delivery of patient care and appropriate use ofavailable resources.



Qualifications

Education:

ADN or Diploma inNursing program required.  BSNpreferred.                                               

Experience:

Two (2) years ofexperience in specialty area preferred .

One (1) year insupervisory capacity preferred.                                               

Skills:

Interview others;Team facilitation & meeting skills.                                               

Licenses/Certifications:       

"Required:Current Arizona RN license or compact state license and American HeartAssociation (AHA) BLS.
