Full Time Position

Position Purpose  

Leads Food Service- patient services team, in providing great tasting, nutritious food for patients at Northwest Medical Center.

This position will lead team training and overseeing customer service, menu selection, building trays to diet specifications, interaction with unit personnel among other duties.

Ability to: supervise in a busy environment, create and motivate a cohesive and progressive team, Knowledge of prescribed diets, strong customer service skills,  are necessary for this position.


Performs diversified duties in diet office such as organization and modification for patient menus for each meal, completion of production sheets for kitchen staff, manages Mobile Meal Program, interviews and evaluates Dietary Aide II, leads Dietary Aide II, Completes schedule for Dietary Aide II, hosts quarterly Nutrition focus group, oversees volunteers, implements changes as needed plus maintains inventory of nutritional supplements.


Lead position will need to complete food handlers certification or Serve safe upon hire


Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements                                                                


High School or GED preferred.                                                



2 years of health care food service experience or Associates Degree in related field.  Sufficient previous experience in dietetics plus lead or supervisory experience.                                                  


Dietetics:  knowledge of foods and nutrition:  familiarity with medical terms related to nutrition.
