Job Description

Position is Full Time, 8 hour Night shifts 11pm-7am

Primary role is to transport patients on night shift. Works with Nursing House Supervisor to assist Nursing Departments as a resource Nurse Tech when there are no transport requests.

Position Purpose

Performs various Nurse Tech duties to include transporting patients, specimens, materials throughout hospital, taking patients vital signs, and other patient care tasks as assigned.  A successful applicant will have characteristics of being flexible in job duties, great interpersonal skills, and a desire to jump in to help in any situation within scope of job description. Reports to Night  shift Nursing Supervisor.

 

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements        

Education:       

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Post High School vocational / specialized training preferred.                                               

Experience:               

One (1) year experience in hospital or nursing home preferred.                       

Preferred candidate will have prior experience working in a hospital setting.                

Licenses/Certifications:       

Required: "BLS certification"  American Heart Association
