Pharmacy Tech Specialist

We are seeking a licensed Pharmacy Tech who is available to work Part Time at Oro Valley Hospital. License must be obtained and in active status from the AZ Board of Pharmacy.

Part-time Medication History Technician position. Weekends and days.

Position Purpose
Under the supervision and direction of a Pharmacist, provides pharmacy assistance for pharmaceutical care to patients according to professional standards and practices.

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education: "Required: Pharmacy Technician program training -OR-
Arizona State Board of Pharmacy Technician license or Pharmacy Intern License"

Experience: "Required: Two years of pharmacy technician experience required or enrolled in an accredited school of pharmacy.

Skills: Ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred. Computer literacy, excellent organization and prioritization skills, personable, resourceful, problem-solving abilities, initiative and motivation, high level of written and communication skills, and must be able to work independently under set guidelines.

Licenses/Certifications: "Required: Arizona State Board of Pharmacy Technician license or Pharmacy Intern License. American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) BLS Certification.

Skilled Nursing Unit: Fingerprint Clearance Card"
