Job Description

Northwest Medical Center is a 300-bed hospital offering a full range of healthcare services including emergency services, accredited chest pain and heart failure programs, neurology and neurosurgery, outpatient imaging, a nationally accredited surgical weight loss program, total joint program, spine program and stroke center (recognized with Gold Seal designations by The Joint Commission), robotic surgery, GI lab, a free-standing women’s center, inpatient rehabilitation facility, wound care center, five urgent care facilities, and three ambulatory surgery centers. Designs and conducts educational programs for nursing staff. Coordinates orientation programs for new staff members, develops programs to keep existing staff up-to-date, and acts as general resource for nursing personnel. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.


Education:Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required. Master's Degree preferred.

Experience: Five (5)years of experience in area of expertise. Specialty certification preferred.Combination of education and experience may beconsidered.                                                

Skills: Compilestatistics;  Composeletters/memorandums;  Coordinatemeetings;  Interview others;  Research information;  Strong analytical and organizationalskills;  Team facilitation & meetingskills.

Licenses/Certifications: CurrentArizona RN licensure

Preferred: BLS/ACLScertification, nationally recognized certification in area ofexpertise
