The Monitor Techscans cardiac monitors and reports significant changes to licensed staff.

Examines heartbeatpatterns of admitted patients on electrocardiograph monitors. Makes note ofirregular rhythms and monitors changes in heartbeat. Ensures that monitors arefunctioning properly. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplishgoals and performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision.



Qualifications

Qualifications:
Education:                

High School/GED orequivalent experience required.  BasicEKG required.

Experience:                

Prior EKG or cardiacmonitoring experiencepreferred.                                        

Licenses/Certifications:        
Required:

BLS certification(American Heart Association -CPR)
