The RN in theOutpatient Wound Care Clinic evaluates assigned patients and plans, implementsand documents nursing care while working alongside a Clinical Nurse Leader,Physicians and Technicians to achieve the best outcome for patients who have avariety of wound care needs.

Promotes patients'independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients andfamilies to understand conditions,  andself-care skills within the scope of practice of the registered nurse. Relieson experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Provides care,evaluates outcomes, consults with interdisciplinary team members as requiredand adjusts patient care as indicated to ensure optimal care.  Effectively identifies predictable problemsand plans and provides patient care, based on the age of the patient served.Accurately and legibly documents all assessments, interventions and plan ofcare according to policies and procedures. Transcribes and reviews all ordersand monitors clinical condition of patients and reports changes to appropriatepersonnel. Performs a variety of tasks.



Qualifications

Education:                

ADN or Diploma inNursing Program,  BSNpreferred.                        

Experience:                

Clinical experiencein area of expertisepreferred.                        

Skills:                

As defined in CoreCompetency documentation.        

                                
Licenses/Certifications:        

Required: CurrentArizona RN license or compact state license

American HeartAssociation (AHA) BLS.
